Jim Shannon

e3 Partners
CEO
After graduating from Liberty University with a degree in Finance, Jim began his career with Humana, Inc. in 1986. He held various executive positions in hospitals in Virginia, Kentucky, and Texas before assuming the role of Division Chief Financial Officer for Columbia/HCA’s Central Texas Division. While there, he was involved in the completion of two large joint venture transactions that resulted in the formation of the Methodist Health System in San Antonio and the St. David’s Health System in Austin. After a stint in Columbia/HCA’s Central Group Office, which oversaw all the company’s hospital operations in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, Jim joined Triad Hospitals, Inc., a spin-off of Columbia/HCA, as its Western Division Chief Financial Officer. When Triad was sold to Community Health Systems in 2007, Jim, along with several members of Triad’s senior executive team, started a hospital company called LHP Hospital Group based in Dallas. Jim held various positions within the company including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Development. In 2014, Jim left the company and began to pursue volunteer ministry opportunities through his church, Prestonwood Baptist Church. He now serves as Chief Executive Officer at e3 Partners, an evangelism and church-planting ministry based in Plano, Texas. e3 Partners is also the parent ministry for I Am Second, a popular media ministry known for its “White Chair” films featuring well-known celebrities whose lives have been transformed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
